About My Vienna

Hyperlocal news for Vienna, Virginia

Our Mission

My Vienna exists for one reason: to give Vienna, Virginia the locally-focused news coverage it deserves. We believe that what happens at Town Hall, in our schools, and on Church Street matters just as much as what happens on Capitol Hill — and often, it matters more to the people who call Vienna home.

My Vienna is more than a news site. We are building a platform where Vienna's organizations — sports leagues, nonprofits, PTAs, civic groups — can organize, communicate, and reach the people they serve. One town, one place to find it all.

Why My Vienna?

National news aggregators and regional outlets cover Vienna as an afterthought — a paragraph buried in a county roundup. Other sites try to fill the gap, but they spread themselves across hundreds of towns and rely on algorithms over relationships.

My Vienna is different. We cover one town. We know the people, the issues, and the context behind every story. We are not trying to be everything to everyone — we are trying to be the best possible news source for this one community.

Community-driven means you can submit news tips, event listings, letters to the editor, and photos. Your voice is part of the story.
