Our Mission
MyVienna exists for one reason: to give Vienna, Virginia the locally-focused news coverage it deserves. We believe that what happens at Town Hall, in our schools, and on Church Street matters just as much as what happens on Capitol Hill — and often, it matters more to the people who call Vienna home.
Every story we publish is written by someone who shops at the same grocery stores, walks the same stretch of the W&OD Trail, and sits in the same Town Council chambers as you. That is the difference local makes.
Why MyVienna?
National news aggregators and regional outlets cover Vienna as an afterthought — a paragraph buried in a Fairfax County roundup. Sites like Patch try to fill the gap, but they spread themselves across hundreds of towns and rely on algorithms over relationships.
